This is a continuation from the last post:

  1. Know exactly what you first sentence(s) will be. Memorize a short opening statement so you will easily say it with eye contact on the listeners, not on your notes.
  2. As often as possible, rehearse in front of someone and try out their suggestions.
  3. Don't have any time to rehearse? Practice parts of your speech when you have a few moments. You will build your confidence when you know that you can easily deliver certain parts of your talk easily.
  4. Don’t allow your mind to make you crazy! Write down your concerns and dispute the unrealistic ones.
  5. If you are driving to a meeting, leave early to accommodate traffic problems and avoid added stress. Arrive early to make sure the sound system works properly. Ask for help.
